Russ has broad experience in financial services as a director in Merrill Lynch's high yield credit research team and as a VP and senior analyst in Moody's Investors Services' leveraged finance group. He started at Union Bank in California and then advanced to corporate and investment banking roles in global relationship management and credit structuring at Barclays Capital, Societe Generale, Bank of New York and City National Bank. In addition to his work in banking and credit research, Russ was an advisory board member at a VC firm and a CFO/COO for an electrical contracting company In California. Russ started Gorman Capital Strategies (GCS) in 2004 to bring Wall Street know-how to owner-shareholder companies doing business on Main Street.
